The upcoming Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Pro will have a larger battery and run Wear OS
Samsung is developing a new Galaxy Watch model that will be named Galaxy Watch 5 Pro.
For the past few years, Samsung has made a habit of releasing two versions of the Galaxy Watch each year. In 2022, the Korean company is expected to release two models Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Watch 5 Classic. But a new report from SamMobile reveals that there could be another version in the series dubbed Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Pro.
The report suggests that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Pro will carry model number SM-R925P, possibly with a 572 mAh battery, and this information has been confirmed by a certification authority from South Korea.
The 572 mAh battery will be a big upgrade over the current latest Galaxy Watch4, and it will be interesting to see how Samsung will integrate it without making the new watch significantly larger. The Galaxy Watch4 comes with a 361 mAh battery on the larger size variants, which means that the Galaxy Watch5 Pro can increase the battery capacity by almost 60%.
In addition to battery and size, the Watch 5 Pro will run Google’s Wear OS. For the previous Galaxy Watch 4, many users have complained about the battery life of the watch but the new Pro version will fix this problem.
Currently, the details about the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro are quite few. Let’s wait and see in the near future.
